Calendar

A key tool in being a successful student athlete is to have everything plugged into a calendar by a month to month basis. This calendar should have classes, homework, assignments due, exams, practice times, and travel dates. This ensures you to never miss any of these things that takes a hit on your success of being a student.

If you are on top of your school work it helps you to exceed in your sport. It helps in your stress levels and your work load. Being stress free helps you to perform at the best of your ability in school and your sport. By using this calendar it can help you balance being a scholar athlete.

Tutors & Teammates

Another recourse that is there to help you is tutors. For most classes there are tutors available for everyone. I can’t stress this enough but take advantage of the free tutoring!

Procrastination

Procrastination is something that can take a huge tole on you. It is very easy to lose focus in school and in your sport when you have assignments pilling up. This can put a huge tamper on your ability to succeed in school and your sport.

If you want to be a successful scholar athlete try and limit the amount of assignments you put off to slim or none. This will help your over all successes!

Healthy Diet

Having a healthy diet as a scholar athlete is very important. Most division 1 programs practice about 20 hours a week with holding a min of 15 units. It is very important to have a healthy diet in order to fuel your body to get you through the week.

Its not only important to watch what you eat but also you have to make sure to eat the right amount. If you eat to little you won’t have enough energy to get through the day.
